For installers & EPC'ers
The RABLE substructure is a technologically advanced mounting system designed based on a half-timbered design. The RABLE design includes both a truss in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, which results in a extremely stiff structure. A unique feature of our system is the steel tension cable in the longitudinal direction, which ensures extra bending resistanceThis allows the RABLE system realise spans of up to 25 metres and rests it on load-bearing components such as roof beams or trusses.
The benefits for you
Quick installation
By using a few components, our mounting system can be installed quickly and efficiently, allowing projects to be completed in a shorter time frame.
Ballast free
Our unique technology eliminates the need for ballast. The RABLE system only needs to be attached to the roof at the ends of the structure. This results in 95% fewer roof anchors compared to traditional anchored systems.
Low labor costs and effort
With minimal roof anchors, no ballast and a
Fast installation significantly reduces the time required on site.
This results in significant savings on labor hours and increases the
efficiency of the project.

No ballast, less anchors
The RABLE substructure is a technologically advanced system with a truss structure in both the longitudinal and transverse direction, which provides a robust and stable base. This system rests on the roof beams or trusses, which minimizes the load on the roof panels. Patented tension cable makes the structure self-supporting.

Frequently asked questions from installers
For which roofs is the RABLE system suitable?
The RABLE system is suitable for all flat roofs. For weak roofs it is a unique solution because it is a self-supporting system that distributes the weight evenly over the trusses and/or beams of a roof. The system carries its own weight and that of the panels. It can therefore be applied directly to weak roofs, without structural renovation (and investments) to buildings with limitations in the roof construction. Ballast is also not necessary.
Our mounting system weighs 3 kg/m². The total load including standard panels (approx. 10-12 kg/m²) is a maximum of 13 kg/m². With lightweight panels the maximum load is approx. 7 kg/m².
Is RABLE suitable for roofs with limited load-bearing capacity?
Yes! What makes RABLE unique is that it is a self-supporting mounting system. The system carries both its own weight and that of the panels. This makes it directly applicable to roofs with limited load-bearing capacity, without the need for structural renovations or investments in the roof structure. In addition, no ballast is required.
How is the system attached to the roof?
Our RABLE mounting system uses roof anchors that are applied to the ends of the structure to effectively control uplift forces. This system requires up to 80% fewer roof anchors compared to traditional systems, which offers a cost-effective solution. For each project, we determine the number of roof anchors required taking into account factors such as building height and wind zone. This ensures a safe installation with minimal roof loading and lower installation costs.
Does it work with any type of solar panel?
RABLE is suitable for all types of solar panels, regardless of weight or size. We use industry standard mounting clamps and also take into account the different dimensions that panels can have.
Are there installers who use RABLE systems?
Various installers throughout the Netherlands, both small and large, are active with RABLE. Do you also want to become familiar with the RABLE system? How does RABLE help me in project preparation?
Every installation situation is unique and our team is ready to answer specific questions and provide support throughout the planning and installation process. We advise customers to share their project details with us for a personalized installation and anchoring plan and a detailed quote. RABLE has a good relationship with the roofing contractors and can quickly switch on the application of a solar installation with RABLE. Need help? Contact us.
What certificates are there?
RABLE system has the required certificates regarding corrosion requirements and NEN 1010. Laying plans are supplied in accordance with the requirements of NEN 7250, based on, among other things, the Eurocodes for snow and wind loads. We also have a wind tunnel certification that you can find under ''downloads'' on our website.
Do RABLE tension cables cause energy loss?
The steel cables cause a limited shadow cast, which results in a yield loss < 3%. Good to know that the RABLE has a walkway every 4 panels (instead of every 2 panels with a traditional mounting system). This more than compensates for the small amount of energy loss of the steel cable.
Which types of roofs are suitable for our system?
Our system is suitable for flat roofs with a slope of up to 10 degrees and works on all types of roofing such as EPDM, PVC and Bitumen, and on steel and concrete roof panels.
