Products

RABLE's substructures are technologically advanced support systems designed based on a truss. The product designs incorporate both longitudinal and transverse trusses, resulting in a rigid and stable structure. The unique aspect of our systems is the tension cable, which creates bending resistance in the longitudinal direction, making the system self-supporting.

For this reason, RABLE can be installed without ballast and supported on the beams. It can also be installed without anchors. Want to know what this means for your project? Feel free to contact us.

Ballast-free mounting systems with 95% fewer (or no!) roof anchors

Thanks to RABLE's self-supporting properties, our substructures can handle large spans where the system is supported by the existing roof beams or trusses.

RABLE substructures are ballast-free and are installed on roofs, beams, or solar panels with a minimum number of roof anchors at the ends of the structure, or the system can be installed entirely without anchors. This means that a project can be designed without anchors or ballast. RABLE's engineers are ready to explore the possibilities for your project.

Frequently asked questions about our products

For which roofs is the RABLE system suitable?

The RABLE system is suitable for all flat roofs. It's a unique solution for weak roofs because it's a self-supporting system that evenly distributes the weight across the roof's trusses and/or beams. The system supports its own weight and that of the panels. It can therefore be applied directly to weak roofs without structural renovation (and investment) to buildings with limited roof construction. Ballast is also not required.

Our mounting system weighs 3 kg/m². The total load including standard panels varies between 11 and 14 kg/m². With lightweight panels load between 5 and 8 kg/m².

What can RABLE be applied to?

RABLE's unique systems are versatile and can be applied to roofs, parking lots, beams, gas station canopies, and solar farms, among other applications. Thanks to their innovative technology, large spans are possible, making the systems flexible and adaptable to a wide range of structures and projects.²

Can RABLE be used for solar fields?

Yes! The RABLE10Ground makes it possible to create solar fields. Want to know more about this product? Click here!

How quickly can RABLE be installed?

Installing a mounting system quickly is every installer's dream. RABLE's engineers have designed the system to be easy and simple to install without ballast, and often without anchors.

With 2 installers you can install 50 panels of RABLE's construction per hour. Watch the video here of 276 panels being installed at our Delft location. Would you like to see this project in real life? Then contact us.

Is RABLE suitable for roofs with limited load-bearing capacity?

Yes! What makes RABLE unique is that it is a self-supporting mounting system. The system carries both its own weight and that of the panels. This makes it directly applicable to roofs with limited load-bearing capacity, without the need for structural renovations or investments in the roof structure. In addition, no ballast is required, but the minimum number of roof anchors ensures that the system + panels remain on the roof.

What products does RABLE have?

RABLE offers a variety of products. Our team will work with you to determine which product is best suited for your project.

How is the system attached to the roof?

Our RABLE mounting system sometimes uses roof anchors installed at the ends of the structure to effectively manage uplift forces. This system requires up to 100% fewer roof anchors compared to traditional systems, offering a cost-effective solution. We determine the need for roof anchors for each project (taking into account factors such as building height and wind zone). This ensures a safe installation with minimal roof load and lower installation costs.

Does it work with any type of panel?

RABLE is suitable for all types of solar panels, regardless of weight or size. We use industry standard mounting clamps and also take into account the different dimensions that panels can have.

Are there installers who use RABLE systems?

Various installers throughout the Netherlands, both small and large, are active with RABLE. Would you also like to become familiar with the RABLE system? Contact us now. contact us, and we will look further with you without any obligation.

RABLE has a strong relationship with roof builders and can quickly implement a solar system with RABLE. Need help? Please contact us if you have larger size requirements.

{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=
What certificates are there?

The RABLE system has the required certifications for corrosion requirements and NEN 1010. Installation plans are supplied in accordance with NEN 7250 requirements, based on, among other things, the Eurocodes for snow and wind loads. We also have wind tunnel certification, which you can find under "downloads'' on our website.

Do RABLE tension cables cause energy loss?

The steel cables cause a limited shadow cast, which results in a yield loss < 3%. Good to know that the RABLE has a walkway every 4 panels (instead of every 2 panels with a traditional mounting system). This more than compensates for the small amount of energy loss of the steel cable.

Which types of roofs are suitable for our system?

Our system is suitable for flat roofs with a slope of up to 10 degrees and works on all types of roofing such as EPDM, PVC and Bitumen, and on steel and concrete roof panels.
